Raiders Tried Out Five Kickers Including Giorgio Tavecchio

Adam Caplan reports that the Raiders worked out five kickers on Tuesday including Giorgio Tavecchio, Michael Badgley, Jon Brown, Matthew McCrane, and Trevor Moore.

The Raiders made it clear they were going to host some free agents for tryouts this week with Mike Nugent dealing with an injury.

Tavecchio, 28, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of California back in 2012. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster and was released at the start of the season.

The Raiders later claimed him off of waivers in 2014 and brought him back on an exclusive rights contract this offseason. However, he was waived during the preseason and had a brief stint with the Falcons.

In 2017, Tavecchio appeared in all 16 games for the Raiders and converted 16 of 21 field goal attempts (76.2 percent) to go along with 33 of 34 extra point attempts.
