Raiders Tried Out Six Free Agents

According to Howard Balzer, the Oakland Raiders brought in six free agents four workouts on Monday including RB Travaris Cadet.

The full list of tryouts for the Cowboys includes:

  1. RB Travaris Cadet
  2. RB Jeremy Langford
  3. RB Fitzgerald Toussaint
  4. DE Kony Ealy
  5. DE Terrence Fede
  6. DE Ryan Russell

Of this group, the Raiders signed Ealy to their active roster.

Cadet, 29, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State back in 2012. He spent three years in New Orleans before he having brief stints with the Patriots and 49ers.

Cadet returned to the Saints at the end of the 2015 season and spent another two years in New Orleans. After being released at the start of the 2017 season, Cadet signed on with the Jets for a month before later joining the Bills to finish out the season.

Buffalo brought Cadet back on a one-year contract this past March only to release him at the start of the season.

In 2017, Cadet appeared in nine games and rushed for 96 yards on 23 carries to go along with 16 receptions for 119 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Langford, 26, was taken with the No. 106 overall pick in the fourth round of last year’s NFL draft by the Bears. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.139 million rookie contract when the Bears cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

The Ravens signed Langford to their practice squad soon and was on and off of the unit before eventually catching on with the Jets in December. New York brought Landford back on a futures deal this past January but cut him loose before the draft.

Langford had a brief stint with the Dolphins a few months ago.

In 2016, Langford appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 62 rushing attempts for 200 yards (3.2 YPC).
