Raiders Use A Low-Round Tender On RFA WR Andre Holmes

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Raiders have placed a low-round tender on restricted free agent WR Andre Holmes.

This means would pay him a salary of around $1.54 million for the 2015 season if/when he signs the tender. However, the Raiders would receive no draft pick compensation should he sign elsewhere.

Oakland does have the ability to match any offer Holmes receives in the coming weeks.

Holmes, 26, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Hillsdale back in 2011. He later caught on with the Cowboys and Patriots before the Raiders eventually signed him May of 2013.

Last year, Holmes appeared in 16 games and caught 47 passes for 693 yards receiving and four touchdowns for the Raiders. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 91 receiver out of 110 qualifying players in 2014.
