Raiders Use A Second-Round Tender On QB Matt McGloin

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Raiders have tendered QB Matt McGloin at the second-round level on Friday.

The second-round tender will cost the $2.553 million for the 2016 season and net them a second-round pick if he receives an offer sheet from another team and they elect to pass on matching it.

McGloin, 26, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in 2013. He has surprisingly made the 53-man roster each year and appears to be a player the team really values.

In 2015, McGloin appeared in two games for the Raiders and threw for 142 yards while completing 71.9 percent of his passes to go along with two touchdowns and an interception.
