Raiders Waive/Injured DB Tevin Mitchel, Claim DB Antwuan Davis

The Oakland Raiders officially waived DB Tevin Mitchel with an injury designation and claimed DB Antwuan Davis off of waivers from the Lions on Tuesday.

Mitchel, 26, was originally a sixth-round pick by the Redskins in the 2016 NFL Draft but lasted just a few months with the team after they elected to waive him at the start of the regular season.

Mitchel later caught on with the Colts and spent over a year in Indianapolis before they moved on from him at the start of last season. The Raiders later signed him to their practice squad and brought him back on a futures contract this past January.

During his college career, Mitchel appeared in 42 games (29 starts) at Arkansas and finished with 157 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 18 pass defenses, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and four interceptions (one returned for a touchdown).
