Raiders Waive LS Andrew East

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Raiders placed LS Andrew East on waivers Monday.

Oakland signed  LS Andrew DePaola to a record-setting contract this offseason, so it was clear that East’s roster spot was in jeopardy.

East, 26, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt back in May of 2015. He lasted just a few months in Kansas City before he was among their final roster cuts.

The Seahawks later signed East to a future/reserve contract in January. However, Seattle cut him loose just a few months later.

East has brief stints with the Raiders and Rams the last two years before returning to Oakland this summer. The Raiders elected to cut him loose at the start of the regular season but brought him back this past January on a futures contract.

East has yet to appear in an NFL game.
