The Oakland Raiders waived WR Jeremy Gallon from their injured reserve list on Wednesday, according to the NFL Transactions release.
Gallon was waive/injured back in May, but wound up reverting to the injured reserve list after clearing waivers. However, it appears as though the Raiders felt it was best to grant him his release and see if he can secure another opportunity with an NFL team.
Gallon, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Patriots last year. He was unable to make the team’s final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but later signed a future/reserve contract with the Raiders.
Gallon has yet to appear in an NFL game.
