Raiders Waive WR Robert Herron

The Oakland Raiders officially waived WR Robert Herron on Thursday, despite signing him to a contract just a few days ago.

Herron, 23, was take in sixth round of last year’s draft by the Buccaneers. However, he was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and later ended up on Tampa Bay’s injured reserve list.

The Buccaneers later granted him his release before he signed on to the Dolphins’ practice squad in October. Miami placed Herron on waivers in the days leading up to this year’s draft.

Oakland brought him and WR Nathan Palmer in earlier in the week.

In 2014, Herron appeared in eight games for the Bucs and caught six passes for 58 yards receiving and a touchdown.
