Raiders Worked Out 4 Defensive Backs Including Mykkele Thompson

According to Howard Balzer, the Oakland Raiders brought in four free agent for workouts on Wednesday including CB Brian Dixon, CB Demetrius McCray, CB Deji Olatoye, and S Mykkele Thompson.

Thompson, 24, if a former fifth-round pick of the Giants back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,508,864 and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

The Giants waived him with an injury designation during the preseason before later placing him on waivers.

In 2016, Thompson was limited to appearing in just one game before he was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury.

Dixon, 27, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2014. He was on and off of their roster for three seasons before the Cardinals signed him off of the Saints’ practice squad last December.

Dixon was in the final year of his contract and set to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season when the Cardinals waived him back in May. The Jaguars later signed him to a contract but he was, unfortunately, among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

In 2016, Dixon appeared in five games and recorded two tackles for the Saints and Cardinals.
