Raiders Sign LB Jamar Chaney

The Oakland Raiders announced the signing of veteran LB Jamar Chaney on Wednesday.

The Oakland Raiders worked out veteran linebackers Tim Dobbins and Jamar Chaney on Tuesday, according to Adam Caplan.

• Oakland also worked out LB Steve Beauharnais, who was signed to their practice squad.

The Falcons signed Dobbins to a contract back in June after they lost Sean Weatherspoon to a season-ending injury. However, he was among their final roster cuts before the start of the regular season.

Dobbins, 31, last played for the Texans, but after signing a one-year contract with the team last April, he lasted only until October before being released.

Chaney, 27, signed a future/reserve contract with the Broncos back in January, but he was also cut as they trimmed their down to 53-players a few months ago.

Last year, Chaney appeared in just one game and didn’t record a single statistic.
