Raiders WR Martavis Bryant Suffered Possible PCL Tear

According to Ian Rapoport, Raiders WR Martavis Bryant suffered a possible PCL tear during Sunday’s game against the Chargers.

Rapoport says that the hope for Bryant is that he won’t end up needing surgery, but he’s currently undergoing an MRI to determine the severity of the issue.

Bryant will end up missing some time whether he requires surgery or not.

Bryant, 26, was selected by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL draft. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $2.7 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

Bryant was suspended for the entire 2016 season for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy and returned to the team coming out of the preseason last year.

The Steelers traded Bryant to the Raiders in return for the No. 79 overall pick of the third round this offseason. The Raiders released him coming out of the preseason only to re-sign him a few weeks into the regular season.

Entering today’s game Bryant had appeared in seven games for the Raiders and caught 16 passes for 249 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He has also rushed for 21 yards on two carries.
