Rams CB Trumaine Johnson Carted Off With Ankle Injury

Rams CB Trumaine Johnson was carted off the field during Sunday’s game against the Bills. He wasn’t able to put a lot of pressure on his right ankle.

The Rams announced that Johnson is questionable to return to the game.

Johnson, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the Rams before being franchised back in February.

Johnson will make $13.952 million fully guaranteed for the 2016 season under the franchise tag before testing the open market again in 2017.

Entering today’s game, Johnson had appeared in four games and recorded 23 tackles, one interception, a recovery and eight pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 36 cornerback out of 117 qualifying players.
