Rams Considering Moving LT Rodger Saffold To Guard Next Season?

It has been a pretty slow Saturday for NFL news and rumors, but Pro Football Weekly has at least provided us with some interesting reports in their recent “NFL Whispers” article.

PFW reports that sources have informed them that the Rams are least considering the idea of moving LT Rodger Saffold to guard next season.

Saffold has missed a large portion of the season because of a knee injury that he suffered back in Week 2. St Louis obviously needs to shore up their offensive line, so it makes sense that they would at least be considering all of their available options at this point.

Saffold has looked good in the past, but struggled mightily last season. A move inside would allow the Rams to target an offensive tackle in next year’s draft, where they have two first-round picks to work with.

We have the Rams selecting OT Luke Joeckel out of Texas A&M in our recently updated 2013 NFL Mock Draft.
