Rams Could Be Without Starting QB Shaun Hill In Week 2

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Rams QB Shaun Hill‘s status for Week 2’s matchup against the Buccaneers “is in doubt.”

  • Rapoport adds that the Rams will know more regarding Hill’s strained quad by Wednesday or Thursday.

Hill was forced to leave the game after playing 28 snaps. After the game, he differed all questions regarding his injury to HC Jeff Fisher, so it will be interesting to see if he’s able to practice this week.

St. Louis brought in Austin Davis, who was largely ineffective against the Vikings’ defense. Davis completed 69.6 percent of his passing attempts for 192 yards passing and an interception.

Mike Garafolo mentioned earlier in the day that the Rams trading for a quarterback such as Mark Sanchez at this point in time “just doesn’t seem feasible,” so it looks like Davis would be given another start if Hill is unable to go.

We’ll have more updates regarding the Rams quarterback situation throughout the week.
