Rams Designate S Cody Davis To Return From Injured Reserve

The Los Angeles Rams officially designated S Cody Davis to return from injured reserve on Thursday.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Rams to add him to their active roster or he’ll spend the duration of the 2017 season on injured reserve.

Davis, 28, wound up signing on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his two-year, $2.91 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,111,111 for the 2017 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent next year.

Davis was placed on injured reserve this November with a thigh injury he sustained during the team’s Week 6 game.

In 2017, Davis has appeared in six games for the Rams and recorded 19 tackles, one interception and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 31 safety out of 81 qualifying players.
