Rams & DT Michael Brockers Agree To Three-Year Extension

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is “hearing” that the Rams and DT Michael Brockers have agreed to a contract extension.

There had been talk that an extension for Brockers could be coming, as he and WR Tavon Austin were reportedly priorities for Los Angeles, so this doesn’t come as a complete surprise.

Brockers, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He was in the final year of his four-year, $9.522 million rookie contract when the Rams picked up his fifth-year option.

Brockers stands to make a base salary of $6.146 million for the 2016 season under the fifth-year option.

In 2015,  Brockers appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and recorded 44 tackles and three sacks.
