Rams Officially Sign Supplemental Pick OT Isaiah Battle

The St. Louis Rams announced the signing of supplemental draft pick OT Isaiah Battle Monday night.

Battle becomes the first player taken in a Supplemental Draft since the Browns used a second-round pick on Josh Gordon back in 2012.

Recent reports had said that some teams gave Battle as high as a third-round grade, but off-the-field concerns likely led to him dropping to the fifth-round.

The Rams have placed a major emphasis on improving their offensive line this year now that they’ve used a second-, third-, fourth-, 2016 fifth- and sixth-round pick on an offensive lineman.

Battle played in 27 career games and started 11 contests last season while playing more snaps than any other Clemson player (824).

During time at Clemson, Battle served a suspension in 2013 for punching a player, and another last season for disciplinary reasons. Battle was also pulled over for speeding in early June and caught with marijuana. He received citations for both incidents, but wasn’t not charged or arrested in either case.
