Rams Place DE Robert Quinn & RB Bennie Cunningham On I.R. & Promote Two

The Los Angeles Rams announced that they’ve placed DE Robert Quinn and RB Bennie Cunningham on season-ending injured reserve.

Quinn, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Rams back in 2011. He’s currently in the first year of his four-year, $66.575 million extension that included $41.268 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $7.777 million for the 2016 season and another $6.161 million in 2017.

In 2016, Quinn has appeared in nine games for the Bears and recorded 10 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles and two pass defenses.

Cunningham, 26, wound up signing on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State back in 2013. He’s managed to make the 53-man roster each of his three years in the NFL and returned to the team this past offseason on a one-year, $1,671,000 restricted tender.

In 2016, Cunningham appeared in all 11 games for the Rams and ran for 101 yards on 21 carries (4.8 YPC) to go along with 16 receptions for 91 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
