The Los Angeles Rams officially placed OLB Carlos Thompson on injured reserve after he passed through waivers unclaimed on Wednesday.
Thompson, 26, signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi back in May of 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but spent most of the year on the team’s injured reserve list.
The Texans elected to cut Thompson loose coming out of the preseason and he, unfortunately, sat out the 2016 season. The Rams signed him to a contract last year and he was on and off of their roster during the 2017 season.
Los Angeles waived Thompson with an injury designation on Tuesday.
In 2017, Thompson appeared in three games and recorded five tackles for the Rams.
