The Los Angeles Rams announced Friday that they’ve placed S Cody Davis on injured reserve with a thigh injury he sustained during the team’s Week 6 game.
This will cost Davis at least the next eight weeks of the season. You can expect the Rams to add someone to their active roster in the coming days.
Davis, 28, wound up signing on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his two-year, $2.91 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,111,111 for the 2017 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent next year.
In 2017, Davis has appeared in six games for the Rams and recorded 19 tackles, one interception and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 31 safety out of 81 qualifying players.
