Rams Placing DB Marqui Christian On Injured Reserve

Rams interim HC John Fassel told reporters Friday that they’re placing DB Marqui Christian on season-ending injured reserve with an ankle injury, per Alden Gonzalez.

Los Angeles will likely promote someone off of their practice squad on Saturday for Week 15’s game.

Christian, 22, was taken in the fifth-round of this year’s draft by the Cardinals. He’s currently in the first year of his four-year, $2.55 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $450,000¬†and $540,000 over the next two years.

Arizona waived him Christian a few weeks into the regular season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Rams.

In 2016, Christian has appeared in 11 games for the Rams and recorded two tackles and no interceptions.
