Rams Preparing For Possibility Of Not Having RB Tre Mason Available For Training Camp

Rams HC Jeff Fisher mentioned during OTAs that they have to prepare for the possibility that RB Tre Mason is “not going to be here,” via the L.A. Daily News.

Mason has missed all of offseason workouts up to this point, due to a March arrest on drug and traffic charges.

Earlier in the day, Nick Wagoner projected the Rams to keep four running backs with Mason being on the outside looking in, due to his offseason arrest and the looming possibility of a suspension.

Mason, 22, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,980,938 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $641,146 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Mason appeared in 13 games for the Rams and ran for 207 yards on 75 carries (2.8 YPC) to go along with 18 receptions for 88 yards receiving and one total touchdown.

We’ll have more regarding Mason and his future with the team as the news is available.
