The St. Louis Rams have promoted DE Matt Longacre to their active roster on Friday, according to Howard Balzer.
Longacre, 24, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Northwest Missouri State. However, he was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to their practice squad.
Longacre has yet to appear in an NFL game.
During his final year at Northern Missouri State, Longacre appeared in 11 games and recorded 37 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks, 17 quarterback hurries, four pass breakups and one forced fumble.
