Rams Promote OLB Carlos Thompson, Waive OLB Ejuan Price

According to Alden Gonzalez, the Rams have promoted OLB Carlos Thompson from their practice squad to the active roster and waived OLB Ejuan Price to make room for him.

Thompson, 25, signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi back in May of last year. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but spent most of the year on the team’s injured reserve list.

The Texans elected to cut Thompson loose coming out of the preseason and he, unfortunately, sat out the 2016 season.

The Rams signed him back in April but made him one of their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. Los Angeles signed him to their practice squad after he cleared waivers.

In 2015, Thompson appeared in two games and recorded two tackles for the Texans.
