Rams Not Starting RB Daryl Richardson In Week 5?

Update:

Rams HC Jeff Fisher would commit to naming a starting running back for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

“I haven’t decided yet,” Fisher said, via the Rams Twitter account. “We’ll probably play most, if not all of the running backs, if they’re active.”

Rams RB Daryl Richardson responded to a fan on Twitter regarding whether or not he’ll be starting Week 5’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Richardson has had difficulty getting anything going on the ground for the Rams this season. He’s averaging a meager 2.71 yards per carry and has just 114 total yards rushing on the season.

It would appear as though RB Isaiah Pead would be the obvious beneficiary to Richardson not starting, but he was a healthy inactive last week. The Rams could always go with RB Benny Cunningham but Pead is most likely a more reliable option for them.

There was talk that the Rams planned on using Tavon Austin out of the backfield last week, but for some reason they chose not to get him involved in the running game.
