Rams RB Isaiah Pead’s Suspension Details

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk confirms that the reason for Rams RB Isaiah Pead‘s one-game suspension is due to a July 2012 arrest for possession of marijuana.

The reason for Pead’s suspension were initially disclosed by both the league and the Rams, however after poking around Florio reports that Pead was arrested on July 7, 2012 in McKinney, Texas for possession of less than two ounces of marijuana.

The timeline would explain why Pead ended up being buried in the depth chart in a forgettable and possibly lost rookie season.

Seeing as how the case was resolved with something other than exoneration, Pead’s one game suspension is the standard league punishment for marijuana possession.
