Rams Release Veteran DT Tyrunn Walker, Following Sexual Assault Accusations

According to Ramon Antonio Vargas and Jim Mustian, former Rams DT Tyrunn Walker is under investigation for sexually assaulting two women in Lafayette, Louisiana.

According to the report, Walker another man allegedly forced themselves on an unconscious woman at a hotel after a night of drinking at a nightclub. However, it was broken up after one of the women regained consciousness and pulled the men off of her friend.

One woman said he suffered serious injuries and the other women said she believes she was drugged while drinking at a dance club.

The Los Angeles Rams announced Thursday that they’ve released veteran DT Tyrunn Walker.

Walker, 27, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Tulsa back in 2012. After two years in New Orleans, Walker signed a one-year, $1.75 million deal with the Lions back in March of 2015 and later returned to Detroit on another one-year contract.

The Rams signed Walker to a one-year, $775,000 contract this past March.

In 2016, Walker appeared in 15 games for the Lions and recorded 24 tackles, no sacks and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 77 interior defender out of 127 qualifying players.
