Rams Scheduled To Host TE Zach Miller For A Visit On Sunday

Jeff Dickerson of ESPN reports that free agent TE Zach Miller is scheduled to visit with the Rams on Sunday.

This is the first reported interest from a team other than Bears in Miller since free agency opened a few days ago.

The expectation has been that Miller would test the open market this year, as he was reportedly seeking $5 million per year in his next contract, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.

St. Louis released TE Jared Cook a few weeks ago, so they could use some depth at the position to go along with Lance Kendricks and Justice Cunningham.

Miller, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2009. He signed a one-year, $660,000 contract with the Bears last year and is now in position to secure a sizable raise as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Miller produced career highs across the board with 34 receptions for 439 yards receiving and five touchdowns over the course of 15 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 6 tight end out of 73 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 2016 Free Agents list.
