Rams Signing LT Andrew Whitworth To Three-Year, $36M Deal With $15M Gtd

The Los Angeles Rams have the “framework” for a deal in place with free agent LT Andrew Whitworth, according to his agency.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Whitworth’s deal with the Rams is a three-year contract worth $36 million and includes $15m guaranteed.

The Rams are now expected to move Greg Robinson to guard following this move.

Whitworth, 35, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals back in 2006. He finished out the final year of his two-year, $14.2 million contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016, Whitworth appeared in all 16 games for the Bengals and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 2 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2017 Free Agents list.
