The St. Louis Rams signed punter Bobby Cowan to a contract, according to the NFL Transactions release.
Cowan, 24, signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Idaho, but he was released to make room for veteran P Chris Kluwe last year.
The Rams currently have Johnny Hekker on their roster, but it appears as though they are willing to bring in some competition ahead of training camp.
