Rams Sign Supplement Pick OT Isaiah Battle To Practice Squad

Ian Rapoport reports that the Rams have signed supplement pick OT Isaiah Battle to their practice squad after he cleared waivers on Sunday.

It was interesting to see the Rams cut Battle loose after they just used their 2016 fifth-round pick on him a few months ago. However, they’ll at least have him around for the foreseeable future.

Battle became the first player taken in a Supplemental Draft since the Browns used a second-round pick on Josh Gordon back in 2012.

Battle played in 27 career games and started 11 contests last season while playing more snaps than any other Clemson player (824).

During time at Clemson, Battle served a suspension in 2013 for punching a player, and another last season for disciplinary reasons. Battle was also pulled over for speeding in early June and caught with marijuana. He received citations for both incidents, but wasn’t not charged or arrested in either case.
