Rams Sign CB Kayvon Webster To Two-Year Deal

Update:

Kayvon Webster has already confirmed the news via his Twitter account.

Adam Schefter reports that former Broncos CB Kayvon Webster is signing a contract with the Rams. Schefter adds that Webster receives a two-year contract from L.A.

  • According to Schefter, Webster receives a two-year, $8 deal that includes another $12 million available in incentives.

All indications have been that the Rams were the team to beat for Webster, given his ties to DC Wade Phillips, and it looks like Los Angeles managed to close the deal with him before he went on to meet with the Eagles and Dolphins.

Troy Renck previously mentioned that some of Webster’s teammates believe he could be a starter for some team, so it will be interesting to see what role he has with the Rams in 2017.

Webster, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He has played out his four- year, $2,745,800 contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.

In 2016, Webster appeared in 13 games for the Broncos and recorded eight tackles, a pass defense and no interceptions while being a large contributor on special teams.
