Rams In South Carolina Doing Their “Due Diligence” On Jadeveon Clowney

Ian Rapoport reports that the St. Louis Rams are in  Rock Hill, South Carolina today doing their “due diligence” on DE Jadeveon Clowney.

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise seeing as the Rams will do background work on all number of players in the coming weeks, but it’s at least a possible indication that they will give consideration to possibly taking Clowney at No. 2 overall or at least attempt to sell the idea that they could take him.

The Rams already have a dynamic set of pass rushers in Robert Quinn and Chris Long, so it’s not as though they are in need of additional help at the position.

Clowney is an unreal physical specimen who should be in contention for the No. 1 overall pick, despite the Texans obvious need for a quarterback.

We have Clowney going to the Jaguars at No. 3 overall in our most recent 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
