Rams Turn Their Attention To Dick Jauron For Defensive Coordinator Vacancy

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams have reached out to former Browns DC Dick Jauron regarding defensive-coordinator vacancy.

Earlier today, the Rams decided against the idea of bringing in Rob Ryan to run their defense and cited philosophical differences as the main reason why the move was made.

With a regime in Cleveland, it wasn’t all that surprising that Jauron was let go. Cleveland made it known that they were switching to a 3-4 defense in 2013 and were set on adding former Ray Horton as their next defensive coordinator.

Jauron would be a better fit in St Louis given that both he and Jeff Fisher have run 4-3 defensive schemes over the course of their careers.
