Rams Waive/Injured OLB Garrett Sickels, Cut WR Aaron Lacombe From IR

The Los Angeles Rams announced Saturday that they’ve waived OLB Garrett Sickels with an injury designation and waived WR Aaron Lacombe from injured reserve with a settlement.

Should Sickels clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the Rams’ injured serve list.

Sickels, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in May of last year. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Colts cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

Sickels had a brief stint with the Browns before signing on with the Rams in October. He returned to Los Angeles on an exclusive rights contract this offseason.

During his college career at Penn State, Sickels recorded 94 tackles, 21.5 tackles for a loss, 11.5 sacks, a forced fumble, two recoveries and a pass defense over the course of 33 games.
