The Los Angeles Rams announced Thursday that they’ve placed QB Dylan Thompson on waivers.
This leaves Jared Goff and Sean Mannion as the only quarterbacks on the Rams’ 90-man roster.
Thompson, 25, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster, but was later signed to the 49ers practice squad.
San Francisco elected to promote him to their active roster towards the end of the season, but he was unfortunately released shortly after last year’s draft. The Rams later signed him to a contract in June of last year before waiving him during the first round of roster cuts last August.
The Rams signed him to a contract last month.
Thompson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
