Rams Waive RB Daryl Richardson

 

The St. Louis Rams have waived RB Daryl Richardson on Thursday, according the NFL transactions release.

• The Rams also released Emmanuel McCray, Jermell Cudjo and Graham Pocic on Thursday.

Richardson, 24, had two years remaining on his four-year contract worth $2,145,896. He had base salaries of $570,000 and $660,000 coming his way over the next two seasons.

This is at least somewhat surprising given that there has been talk for a while now that Isaiah Pead could be the odd man out in St. Louis.

Last year, Richardson ran for 215 yards on 69 carries (3.1 YPC) and contributed 14 receptions for 121 yards receiving as well.
