Rams Waive WR Nelson Spruce From I.R. With Settlement

The Los Angeles Rams announced Monday that they’ve waived WR Nelson Spruce from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

  • The Rams also signed DT Louis Trinca-Pasat to practice squad.

Spruce, 24, joined the Rams as an undrafted rookie out of Colorado back in May and was able to make the team’s 53-man roster. He was signed to a three-year, $1.62 million contract and is earning a base salary of $4500 this season.

The Rams placed Spruce on injured reserve during the season before eventually designating him to return in December. Los Angeles waived Spruce with an injury designation this past weekend and he later reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers.

During his four-year college career at Colorado, he accumulated 294 receptions for 3,347 yards receiving and 23 touchdowns.
