Rashard Mendenhall Has A “Good Shot” Of Playing Week 7

Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall has a “good shot,” of playing Sunday against Cincinnati, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

Mendenhall injured his Achilles’ in Thursday night’s loss to the Titans. It’s been previously reported that the injury isn’t serious and the Steelers haven’t expressed any concern. However, there is the possibility that his Achilles’ injury is somehow related to last year’s ACL tear, but that’s purely speculation at this point. There is a chance that Mendenhall could see a lighter workload as the season moves forward.

We’ll know more on Mendenhall’s status once head coach Mike Tomlin addresses the media later today. Another injury is the last thing that he wants considering that he is set to become a free agent at the end of the season. We have him listed as the No. 35 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
