Ravens Activate TE Darren Waller From Suspended List

The Baltimore Ravens announced that they have activated TE Darren Waller to their active roster.

  • Waller was suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

This move makes sense given TE Maxx Williams went on the injured reserve on Friday.

Waller, 23, is a former sixth-round pick of the Ravens. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.39 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

Waller is making the transition to tight end after playing receiver last year. It’s worth mentioning that he was previously suspended during his college career after testing positive for marijuana.

In 2015, Waller appeared in six games for the Ravens and recorded two receptions for 18 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
