Ravens CB Tray Walker Pronounced Dead Following Dirt Bike Crash

Update:

Ravens CB Tray Walker passed away, at 5 p.m. ET, according to his agent Ron Butler, per Jeff Zrebiec.

Walker sustained serious head injuries during the crash and had been fighting for his life since being taken to the hospital, according to Ian Rapoport.

Our condolences go out Walker’s the family and friends. He was just 23 years old.

According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, Ravens CB Tray Walker was driving a Honda dirt bike when he collided with a Ford Escape, according to ESPN.

However, Walker’s bike did not have lights and he was wearing dark clothing at the time.

Walker was believed to be riding recreationally with another NFL player, said his agent Ron Butler, who does not know the name of that player.

“It sounds like the doctors are doing everything they can to try to preserve his life,” Butler said. “A tough 24 hours. The family is all here.

As of now, several high-ranking Ravens officials are headed down to Miami on Friday to support Walker and his family.

Ian Rapoport reported Friday morning that Ravens CB Tray Walker sustained severe head injuries during a dirt bike crash and wound up undergoing surgery last night.

  • Rapoport adds that Walker is currently fighting for his life.

Walker’s agent Ronald Butler has confirmed that his client is in intensive care and fighting for his life.

It’s a bad situation. I’m going to be honest,” Butler said, per Jeff Zrebiec. “We’re praying that he’s able to fight through it.”

Ravens CB Tray Walker was critically injured when his dirt bike collided with an SUV around 7:50 pm Thursday, according to Miami-Dade police said.

Police added that Walker was driving with no lights while wearing dark clothing, via Jamison Hensley.

According to Liane Morejon of WPLG Local 10 News, police are looking for a Patriots player who was present during the crash involving Ravens CB Tray Walker.

Morejon mentions that the player is no where to be found now. However, police haven’t been able confirm who the player is right now, but they’re hoping to interview him.

Ravens VP of public relations Kevin Byrne couldn’t confirm the extent of CB Tray Walker‘s injuries, per Jamison Hensley.

According to NBC 6 in South Florida, Ravens CB Tray Walker was critically injured in a motorcycle crash that occurred in northwest Miami-Dade Thursday night.

Police said that Walker was involved in the crash and taken to a hospital’s in critical condition.

The report adds that police are expected to release more information of the crash later Thursday night.

Walker, 23, was taken in the fourth round of last year’s draft. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $2.867 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Walker appeared eight games and recorded two total tackles for Baltimore.
