Ravens CB Jumal Rolle Tears Achilles, Expected To Miss 2016 Season

According to Jeff Zrebeic, Ravens CB Jumal Rolle tore his Achilles during a recent workout and is expected to miss the 2016 season.

This is terrible news for a promising young player.

Rolle, 25, originally signed on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Catawba back in 2013. He lasted just a few months with the Bills before joining the Saints and Packers for brief periods of time.

The Texans wound up signing Rolle off of the Packers’ practice in October of last year and managed to make the 53-man roster in 2015. However, he was waived midseason to make room for QB Brandon Weeden before the Ravens added him to their practice squad in November.

The Ravens brought him back on a one-year exclusive rights contract a few weeks ago.

In 2015, Rolle appeared in nine games and recorded three tackles for the Texans and Ravens.
