Ravens Could Target Pierre Thomas If They Can’t Keep Justin Foresett

According to Aditi Kinkhabwala, the Ravens’ first choice would be to re-sign Justin Forsett, but if things don’t work, their Plan B could be target Pierre Thomas.

Forsett, 29, excelled when assuming lead-back duties in Baltimore after Ray Rice was released at the beginning of the year, and is in a great position to secure a multi-year contract in the coming months.

In 2014, Forsett compiled career-highs with 1,266 rushing yards, eight touchdowns, and five games where he totalled over 100-yards. Pro Football Focus has Forsett rated as the No. 6 running back last season out of 57 qualifying players.

Thomas, 30,  ran for 222 yards on 45 carries (4.9 YPC) to go along with 45 receptions for 378 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 9 running back in the league out of 57 qualifying players.
