Ravens Could Target Rick Dennison Or Kyle Shanahan As Gary Kubiak Replacements

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that in the event OC Gary Kubiak agrees to become the next head coach of the Denver Broncos, Ravens QBs coach Rick Dennison is considered a “strong contingency” for Baltimore.

  • Wilson adds that former Browns OC Kyle Shanahan will merit “serious consideration” for Ravens’ offensive coordinator position as well.

Numerous reports have mentions that Kubiak will interview with the Broncos for their head-coaching vacancy this weekend.

While Kubiak released a statement saying that he was going to remain with the Ravens as their offensive coordinator, recent indications were that he could change his mind and meet with the Broncos.

Kubiak has obvious ties to Broncos president/GM John Elway, seeing as they played together several years ago while in Denver.

Dennison previously worked as the offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans and Broncos. He’s also worked as an offensive line and special teams coach over the course of his career in the NFL.

Other potential options for the job, according to Wilson, include TEs coach Brian Pariani and LBs coach Ted Monachino.

We’ll have more as the news is available.
