Ravens Cut CB Al-Hajj Shabazz From Injured Reserve

The Baltimore Ravens officially waived CB Al-Hajj Shabazz from the injured reserve list with settlements on Friday.

Shabazz, 24, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of West Chester in July of last year but was waived as the team trimmed their roster down to 75 players.

The Steelers signed him to a future/reserve contract in February of last year but was waived as the team got down to the 53-man limit. He was on and off of the Steelers’ active roster for much of the season, but had a brief stint with the Texans before returning to Pittsburgh last December.

Shabazz was waived shortly after this year’s draft before signing on with the Ravens in June. Unfortunately, he was waived on Monday with an injury designation and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.

In 2016, Shabazz appeared in eight games and recorded just one tackle.
