Vikings & Ravens Potential Options For DB Lardarius Webb

Update:

Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that the Vikings are also exploring whether free agent DB Lardarius Webb could be a potential fit for their defense.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the ravens are exploring the possibility of re-signing veteran DB Lardarius Webb.

The Ravens elected to cut Webb loose last week shortly after they signed Tony Jefferson to a big-money contract. Baltimore figures to be set at safety with Jefferson and Eric Weddle, but Webb is someone the team thought highly of, so a return can’t be completely ruled out.

Webb, 31, is a former third-round pick of the Ravens back in 2009. He has spent his entire eight-year career with the Ravens and was entering the final year of his six-year, $52.742 million contract when the Ravens released him a move that freed up $5.5 million of available cap space.

In 2016, Webb appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 73 tackles, one sack, an interception and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 15 safety out of 89 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
