Ravens First-Round TE Hayden Hurst Out 3-4 Weeks With Foot Fracture

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that Ravens first-round TE Hayden Hurst is likely to miss 3-4 weeks with a stress fracture in his foot that will require surgery.

According to Garafolo, Hurst will undergo a surgical procedure today to insert a screw in his foot.

This, of course, means that Hurst is unlikely to be available for the start of the season.

Hurst, 25, was taken with the No. 25 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Ravens. According to OverTheCap.com, he receives a four-year, $11,036,032 contract that includes a $6,106,204 signing bonus.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Ravens to pick up in 2021.

During his three-year college career at South Carolina, Hurst recorded 100 receptions for 1,281 yards receiving (12.8 YPC) and three touchdowns to go along with 11 rushing attempts, 39 yards (3.5 YPC) and one touchdown.
