Ravens First-Round WR Breshad Perriman Re-Injured His PCL, Out Indefinitely

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Ravens first-round pick WR Breshad Perriman re-injured his PCL this past weekend.

  • According to Rapoport, Dr. Andrews performed arthroscopic surgery on Perriman’s knee, and he’s out indefinitely.

Perriman reportedly pulled up while trying to run down a deep pass in the end zone before Sunday’s game, even though he was inactive for the match up.

Baltimore wasted no time this week ruling him out for Week 4’s game against the Steelers.

Regarding this type of injury, former NFL physician David Chao mentions that if Perriman had just a scope on his knee, he could be back in a matter of weeks.

However, if he needs a PCL reconstruction, Perriman would be “lucky to be back by training camp.”

Perriman, 22, has yet to appear in a single game for the Ravens, who could really use some help at receiver. He signed a four-year, $8.705 million rookie contract that included $7.09 million guaranteed back in May.

Perriman stands to make base salaries of $435,000 (2015), $830,697 (2016), $1,226,394 (2017), and $972,606 (2018) over the remainder of the contract.

During his three years at UCF, Perriman caught 115 passes for 2,243 yards receiving and 16 touchdowns.
