Ravens Hire Leslie Frazier As Secondary Coach

The Baltimore Ravens announced the hiring of Leslie Frazier as  their secondary coach and Joe Cullen as a defensive line coach.

Frazier, 56, did not have his option picked up by the Buccaneers shortly after the team parted ways with HC Lovie Smith.

During the season, Smith elected to take over play-calling for the Buccaneers after the unit really struggled the previous year. However, even with Smith calling plays, the Bucs’ defense was still a disappointment in 2015, and likely played a big factor in the team dismissing him in recent weeks.

Since he became available, there was talk that he could be an option for the Browns’ defensive coordinator position. However, several former head coaches have done well going to Baltimore, so this could be a goof move for him, especially if the Ravens’ defense shows improvement in 2016.
