Ravens Hoping That Terrell Suggs Can Be A Situational Pass Rusher This Season

Don Banks of SI.com write that the Baltimore Ravens are “holding out hope” that recently injured DE Terrell Suggs will be able to return and contribute as a situational pass rusher later in the season.

Banks mentions that Suggs could return in a “reduced role,” while focusing on contributing in passing situations for them.

If Suggs is able to return and be effective, even in a limited basis, it would be huge help for a defense that needed additional pass rushers even before Suggs tore his Achilles and they lost Jarret Johnson and Cory Redding during free agency. The Ravens would be wise to prepare as though they’ll be without the reigning defensive player of the year.
